Munira was built on a single belief: that modest dressing should never require compromise — not on coverage, not on comfort, and not on style.
Where it began
Munira was born out of a wardrobe problem that too many Muslim women know too well. Getting dressed for the day meant negotiating — layering a slip beneath a sheer dress, tucking in an undershirt, holding a blouse up to the light to check whether it was opaque enough.
We were buying more clothes but feeling less dressed. And the options that promised modesty often delivered frumpy, shapeless, or simply uncomfortable pieces that didn't reflect who we are.
So we stopped looking for the right brand and started building it.

Every piece is tested for opacity in natural sunlight before it reaches you. If it requires a slip, a layer, or an undershirt, it doesn't leave the studio. This is a non-negotiable that every Munira piece must pass.

A word from our founder
I spent years buying modest clothing that either compromised on style, required constant layering, or simply didn't hold up. Every time I found something beautiful, it was sheer. Every time something was opaque, it was uncomfortable or shapeless.
I started Munira to build what I actually wanted to wear — pieces that are fully covered, beautifully made, and require nothing extra. If you've ever held a dress up to a window and been disappointed, this brand is for you.
